What can I say about Pittsfield Rye? Honestly, nothing but praise!
I own a small café in Florence, Massachusetts and I was told about Pittsfield Rye about seven years ago. An electrical contractor mentioned that he often goes to a little hotdog joint in Pittsfield and
that the rolls are incredible. He said he believed they were made locally. I did a little research and found Pittsfield Rye.
I called and spoke with Rick, who invited me up to sample products and give me a tour of the facilities. It was just what I was looking for. Great bread made locally by a small family run operation.
That was almost seven years ago. Since then I have witnessed Pittsfield Rye go through some changes. A new location, new accounts, etc. Yet they have kept that small operation mentality. They truly care about every
one of their customers big and small.
My family loves to make the trip from Florence to Pittsfield once a week to pick up the bread for our café, as well as seeing our friends at Pittsfield Rye.
Thanks Rick, Renée, Linda, and Arnie!

I have been doing business with Pittsfield Rye Bakery for years.
Their product is consistently at a high quality level, which is
very important to me and to our guests. The Robbins family has
always been customer first and it shows. Many of our guests
visit their store to purchase the bread for themselves. We
always try to support local when we can, and Pittsfield Rye
makes it an easy decision. Thank You.

Pittsfield Rye Bakery and Specialty Breads has been Jimmy’s
Restaurant’s bakery for 10 years. Rick and Renee Robbins took
our account and have given us excellent service and superior
product for our customers at Jimmy’s. Rick has worked hard to
make an original recipe Italian bread “old world Italian”.
Pittsfield Rye Bakery has professional employees to complement
Rick and Renee’s willingness to always improve on an already
awesome product. We expect to do business with Pittsfield Rye
Bakery and Specialty Breads for a long time.

A fall day, a harvest fair, and the taste of delicious bread.
This is the memory that will not soon be forgotten!
My first delightful taste was of the chocolate bread called
“Death by Chocolate.” Although hesitant at first about trying
chocolate bread, I found it to be an amazing combination of
chocolate chunks and cherry pieces. It was being eaten so
quickly that I found myself not wanting to share it. Why didn’t
we buy 2-3 loaves?
Since this first experience, I have tried all of the varieties
that Pittsfield Rye bakes. Absolutely wonderful! The breads
freeze well (you are going to want to purchase many) and is just
as special sliced fresh as it is toasted. The breads are a
delicious addition to a dinner for guests and certainly for all
special occasions. I believe that we should all live every day
to the fullest – and treat ourselves well. Wouldn’t that include
slices of Pittsfield Rye breads? I certainly think so.
